How it works
Participation isn’t a one-off event — it’s a journey. Here’s exactly what happens when you join Voices Unheard, from your first message to seeing your ideas reach decision-makers.
The journey
Three steps from voice to change
Not everyone wants to stand on a stage. Not everyone has time to meet weekly. That’s why we offer many ways in — from anonymous online messages to leading European delegations. You can start with one and grow into the next.
Tell us what matters
- Duration: 5 minutes
Change starts when someone is brave enough to speak. Drop us a message — about what you experience, what you need, or what you dream of for your community. There are no wrong answers.
- Write us in any of our provided languages
- Voice notes, drawings, photos — all welcome
- 100% confidential, your name stays yours
Build your idea together
- Duration: 1-2 Weeks
You join a Civic Lab — a small, friendly group of young Roma in your area. Together with mentors, you turn your thoughts into something stronger: a concrete idea, a recommendation, a campaign.
- Meet weekly with peers your age
- Learn about rights, debate and media
Bring it to the table
- Ongoing
Your recommendations don’t stop in the room. We bring them to mayors, school directors, ministries — and to EU institutions through our cross-country network. You decide whether to stand at the podium or stay anonymous.
- Meetings with local & national decision-makers
- EU-level platforms in Brussels
- Public visibility — only if you want it
Your voice matters.
Your ideas can move forward.
Voices Unheard brings young Roma, communities and local decision-makers together — creating safe spaces where stories become ideas, and ideas can lead to real change.
