Who we are, what we stand for — and why we believe that the voices of young Roma in Europe must finally be heard.

Dobar Dan!

Roma youth, building safe futures

Bosnia and Herzegovina is home to Roma communities that continue to face barriers to education, social inclusion and equal opportunities. Many Roma children and young people experience poverty, discrimination and limited access to support services, highlighting the importance of creating safe, inclusive spaces where they can participate, develop and have their voices heard.

What we do

Our services

Nova Generacija is a civil society organisation dedicated to protecting children’s rights and supporting vulnerable children, young people and families across Bosnia and Herzegovina. Through community-based services, education and empowerment programmes, the organisation creates safe environments where Roma children and youth can build confidence, strengthen their participation and shape safer, more inclusive futures.

Safe Spaces for Children

We provide safe and supportive environments where children at risk can receive care, guidance and opportunities for development.

Psychosocial Support

We offer professional counselling and emotional support for children and families facing stress, exclusion or difficult life situations.

Child Protection Services

We help protect children from violence, neglect and social exclusion through direct support, case management and crisis response.

Blue Phone Helpline

Through the Blue Phone, children and young people can access confidential and immediate support when they need someone to talk to.

Training for Participation

We develop child-friendly training, learning modules and workshops that help children understand their rights and take part in society.

Advocacy & Public Speaking

We support children and young people in expressing their views, speaking publicly and contributing to local decision-making processes.

Team

The persons behind

A team of educators, activists, and Roma representatives — across six countries. We work participatively: many of our colleagues are part of the Roma community themselves.
